Within the last hours I managed to participate in the Capture the Color picture competition, for which lovely Travelita tagged me recently. The challenge is to choose five travel pictures that represent five colors: yellow, blue, red, green and white.
Quite excited I started to sort out and after 1320 hours or so I finally managed to choose the following pictures, which I like very much because they do not only represent the color but tell a story for me – and hopefully for you as well.

Gelb – Yellow

This little boy has fun blowing out the sacred candles in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem.

Yellow, Jerusalem.

Blau – Blue

„Look at all this penguins!“ I loved the astonished gaze of this penguin towards our group visiting Antarctica.

 Blue, Antarctica.

Rot – Red

I loved the cemetery in Punta Arenas, „southernmost city of the world“, with all its white graves and this one red cross.

Red, Chile.

The little boy of the camel farm in Kazakhstan is proud of „his“ camels; his parents live in quite poorness and dirt though. So far, it was my most irritating, difficult and borderline travel.

Green, Kazakhstan.

This is how a fotosafari in the Atacama desert looks like – but ony through sunglasses: If you take them off, you will get blind of the sun and the white glare of the saltlake.

White, Chile.
